The currency of success is, enduring rejection.
Not taking it as a personal reflection of your failures.
But instead, as a reflection of your persistence and perseverance.

Flip the script and channel every bad thing and identify the learning lessons from it.
Because that is how you flip the script.
That is how you reframe from negative to a meaningful and a valuable positive.
The positive being, what it taught you.
The value of the learning is what takes you forward.
The value of that learning is the clarity you need to know what to not do.
The price of success, demands you get comfortable with rejection, failure, hardship.
Because that is where character is built.
You can’t buy character.

As Jensen Huang, the founder of NVDIA once said,
“Greatness does not come from intelligence,
it comes from character. Character is not formed out of smart people -
it is formed out of people who have suffered.”
Taking every failure and rejection head on and start to reframe them as an opportunity for growth.
An opportunity to pivot, to dodge, to modify, to tweak.

I recently had a conversation with a friend, and he mentioned he reached out to 1000 people on Linkedlin to his event.
Only 200 responded.
But the point isn’t to focus on the 800 that didn’t respond.
It’s to focus on the valuable, quality 200 that did respond and ended up attending.
Because in life, there is always going to be haters, people who don’t like you for you, people who badmouth, people who judge.
There is never a shortage of them.
But what matters most, is you “Finding” those 200 people who said yes.
What matters most, is “finding” those who like you for you.
What matters most, is putting yourself out there so you can get 800 Nos, in order for you to find those 200 people who are saying yes to your idea.
Starting my own business transformed my mindset.
Because this is exactly what it taught me.
What I enjoyed most about this conversation with my dear friend Vincent is that he connected with me on the same level as understanding the pain of having to put yourself out there.
Having to get a lot of rejections to bring you close to those 200 yes.
So if you take away anything from this Newsletter today, I hope you take away this.
No is the way to success.
Get enough Nos to fuel your way towards success.
The person you become on the way of getting 800 nos will amaze you.
Your mindset and confidence changes after an experience like that.
And just like that, you level up after an experience like that, and you are no longer “afraid” of difficult conversations and situations.
I’ve lived it, seen it and experienced it myself.
The goal is to get a No.
Because it’s expected, there’s no surprises there.
Because those Nos serve as information, data.
A data point that tells you to keep going, keep aiming, keep asking.
The doors of rejection actually serves to redirect you to the Yes.
When you finally get a Yes…it fuels you, shifts you and transforms you.
Every successful person goes through a lot of nos.
The goal isn’t to get every single person to say yes.
Instead, it’s get 800 nos and to get those valuable 200 yes.
Ps. you rarely get what you don’t ask for ;)
