Courage Over Silence.
More men are coming into therapy after breakups.
And men are learning to recognize the importance of asking their romantic partner, "Babe, do you want comfort or solutions"? as a new way of communicating skilfully to improve connection & intimacy.
In this podcast episode, myself Eunice Cheung, Founder of Your millennial therapist & Psychotherapist and Jackie Ha, a brilliant Counsellor & Founder of Morrow Enedavour got together and had an insightful discussion about What Brings Men Into Therapy.
While also dismantling some of the cultural and societal barriers that hinders Men truly connecting in their relationships, romantic, familial and friendships.
Because in therapy/counselling, it's not about just seeking tools.
It's about understanding why and how certain ways didn't work for you and diving deeper to understand what experiences you've had growing up which impacts why you show up the way you do and how that HINDERS you in relationships, your communication.
We also discussed what goes on INSIDE therapy and how we can get men to learn to articulate and express themselves, thoughts, feelings within the context of a relationship.
Because ultimately, you can't have fulfilling relationships without the skill of communication.
You can't have one without the other.
